• Rosehips Tea - 125g

Rosehip tea has a striking ruby reddish colour with a strong aroma, and the taste lives up to this initial impression. It is bursting with a strong and rewarding sour-fruity flavour, which lingers in the palate.

As well as being a satisfying refreshment, it also acts as a natural medicine. The rosehip fruit provides essential vitamin C and antioxidants to prevent tiredness and help boost the immune system.

Rose hips are particularly high in Vitamin C, with about 1700–2000 mg per 100 g in the dried product, one of the richest plant sources.

As an herbal remedy, rose hips are attributed with the ability to prevent urinary bladder infections, and assist in treating dizziness and headaches. Native Americans have been using rosehips as tea for thousands of years, and when the tea is finished, the hips were added to stews or soups.

To use: Place one teaspoon of tea per person into a warmed pot or mug infuser and add hot water. Allow to steep for 5 minutes, or longer if a strong infusion is required, then strain into mugs. A little honey or other natural sweeteners can be added if desired.
