What is Psyllium and Bentonite?

Psyllium is derived from the seed of the Plantago ovata plant (botanical name: Plantago ovata). Psyllium husk is an excellent source of soluble dietary fibre. It is native to Europe, North Africa and Asia and has been used for thousands of years as for its laxative properties and for Psyllium is high in both fibre and mucilage.

Modern diets can lack natural fibre as it is often removed during the refining process; a lack of fibre in the diet can lead to many digestive disorders such as constipation and haemorrhoids.
