Ginkgo Biloba Liquid Extract Tincture

Ginkgo is a popular herbal remedy that has been used for a number of conditions.

It is most well known for being a herb that boosts circulation and assists in age-related conditions. Research has found it improves blood flow in the brain but also throughout the body. It may therefore help to keep mentally fit and aids memory loss, poor circulation, varicose veins, macular degeneration and headaches.

Other uses of this tincture include altitude-sickness, respiratory complaints including asthma and sinusitis, depression, hangovers (the seeds contain an enzyme that may speed up the body’s metabolism of alcohol), tinnitus and vertigo.

The leaves contain unique substances called ginkgolides that interfere with a chemical the body produces (PAF) which plays a key role in triggering allergies, asthma and inflammation.

Ginkgo is also a favourite Chinese heart tonic.

In large amounts Ginkgo may cause diarrhoea, irritability and restlessness.

1:4 Alcohol Volume 25%. Take 10 – 15 drops 2 x daily.
