Sweet Rock Salt comes from evaporated seas, that existed 200 million years ago, and covered North America. During the Jurassic era, volcanoes erupted, sealing the salt and protecting it from any form of pollution.
This natural rock salt from deep within the North American mountains contains many minerals, in particular native iodine.
The light-pink colouration indicates this high yield of minerals.
