Peppermint can be used for a wide range of conditions and may help with: backache, bad breath, earache, emphysema, fever, gallstones, gingivitis, headache 9rub on temples), heartburn, hives, indigestion, morning sickness, nausea, pain, scabies and sinusitis.
It contains nine expectorant compounds with antibacterial properties. It also has anti-aging properties.
Peppermint can be taken in various forms including a tincture, tea or capsule, but never ingest the pure oil which is for external use only. The tincture is particularly great for indigestion as it contains more of the constituents of peppermint that help than a tea as these are relatively insoluble in water.
